How to Throw a Perfect Bachelorette in Miami

Miami’s best bachelorette weekends embrace the city’s signature vibrancy—and if you plan well, this can mean a little more style and a lot less cliché. To evade destination bachelorette burnout, skip the overcrowded party spots and opt for experiences that feel celebratory without being predictable. Think shared, elevated-yet-affordable boat charters that make Miami’s glittery skyline feel like it belongs to your group, with sunset views (and a perfect playlist) curated for the bride. More often than not, meals turn into ridiculous celebrations, from lively brunches where napkins swirl in the air to dinners that melt into late-night revelry—because in Miami, the lines between eat, stay, and play are always blurred. It’s always time to play, making it one of the most fun cities in the US for any bride’s bachelorette party.

Whether you want to toast with a rooftop spritz, dance barefoot on the sand, or find a tucked-away cocktail bar where the music keeps pulling you in, this city offers the perfect blend of indulgence and spontaneity. With a little planning (and a lot of great taste), Miami becomes more than just a city you fear is overdone—but a place to book fabulous hotels and Airbnbs as a group home base, and celebrate in full color. Here’s how to do it right.

FAQ:

How should my group plan to get around in Miami?

Rideshare services like Uber and Lyft are the easiest ways to navigate the city, though traffic—especially between Miami Beach and the city proper—can slow you down. Always plan ahead if you’re trying to make a reservation and keep checking the traffic congestion on Google Maps and Waze apps. If you plan to explore beyond these main hotspots, a rental car could be useful, but like any buzzy city, parking can be a hassle.

How many days should I say in Miami for a bachelorette trip?

Of course, it depends on your group’s schedule—but a long weekend is your best bet. Three to four days is the sweet spot, offering you time to balance some unforgettable nights out with some much-needed beachside relaxation without feeling too rushed.

When is the best time to go to Miami for a bachelorette trip?

To beat the spring break crowds, head to Miami from December to February. This time of year draws in travelers wanting to escape winter temperatures, so book as far in advance as possible to get the best rates and secure a spot ahead of the snowbird rush. If you’re flying to the same destination with a friend, share a checked suitcase to save on extra luggage fees.

Where to eat

Miami’s vibrant food scene is filled with hot spots from high-energy and upscale dining to laid-back poolside snacks to keep you going throughout the day. Start your day off with brunch at The Goodtime Hotel (owned in part by Pharrell Williams), a buzzy, crowd-pleasing hotel with a happy-go-lucky aesthetic curated by fantastic designer Ken Fulk. Whether you spend the day or book a room here, we recommend heading to Strawberry Moon, a rooftop swim club where you can sip on cocktails by the pool from pink, retro-inspired cabanas.

On any and every Miami trip, get a taste of Little Havana: Pick up pastries and coffees from Versailles to start. Treats from this classic cuban joint are the perfect tasty kickstart to any day—and you can’t get ones quite as good anywhere else. Head to Wynwood for dinner at Doya Restaurant. The upscale gin bar is lively with mezze-style Mediterranean dishes to share, all served over a wood-fired grill. For a similarly stylish dinner, book a reservation at buzzed-about Mandolin Aegean Bistro in the Miami Design District. It’s the ideal setting for group dinners, with outdoor seating surrounded by greenery and a Greek and Turkish menu that pairs perfectly with a bottle of rosé. If you’re spending the day at Key Biscayne, make a reservation for outdoor seating at The Rusty Pelican. It’s a landmark for both great city views across Biscayne Bay and weekend brunch—to which you should probably take advantage of the unlimited mimosas (especially because some of their dining options are a bit steep, but all well worth the visit).

When you think of a quintessential Miami dinner, Seaspice comes to mind. The space is set on a dock, where yachts pull up alongside dimly-lit dinner tables. While you can opt in for bottle service, another sweet option is the restaurant’s Sunset Hours, where, on Fridays, you can share Champagne by the bottle, hand-crafted cocktails, and half-off wine by the bottle alongside fresh and shareable bites. And for a high-energy dinner with an international flair, Komodo brings Asian fusion and a lively atmosphere to Miami’s Brickell neighborhood. Finally, if you’re after an elevated nightlife experience combined with great food, Bâoli, with design inspired by Bali and the South of France, is the place to be. Indulge in Mediterranean-inspired dishes, and as the night goes on, watch as the trendy spot becomes a fearlessly fun Miami nightclub setting with live dancers, DJs, and more. (Note, it’s best to make a reservation and follow their dress code.)

Where to stay

From ritzy to laid-back, Miami’s accommodations run the gamut, offering up the perfect place to rest and recharge for every type of group. Do keep in mind that location is everything here—especially given the traffic and busy streets you’ll need to navigate through. For a sexy, glamour-at-your-fingertips experience, there’s no beating the 1 Hotel South Beach. The beachfront property seamlessly merges chic, coastal, and upbeat, offering an oasis of relaxation (yet, somehow, fun) where every detail has been thoughtfully curated. With food and drink service from your own beach chairs (provided by the hotel) to the buzzy rooftop pool scene, Watr 1 at the Rooftop, you just might not want to leave the property–all the fun to be had is here.

If you wish to stay in the city center, closer to the airport, downtown Miami’s The Elser Hotel boasts spacious rooms with modern amenities, making it ideal for nights out in the city—or still, in Miami Beach, as it’s just over the bridge. Take over its rooftop pool and deck at sunset; the space overlooks the city’s downtown and Biscayne Bay, and offers a 16-foot poolside LED screen, private lounge areas and a full bar, and a massive hot tub with skyline views, too. For a more artsy, neighborhood-feel, Wynwood’s Freehand Miami blends hotel and restaurant in a cool, dynamic setting, with the added bonus of boozy brunch, house music, and craft cocktails. For an oceanfront retreat that channels Miami’s laid-back luxury and upbeat essence, Eden Roc Miami Beach is excellent, especially if you’re craving beach views (on an exclusive strip of the beach) and relaxation by the pool. The property also features the Ocean Social restaurant, where you’ll find an unforgettable lunch with an ocean-side view (don’t skip the Cobb salad) and sunset aperitivos.

For something truly unique and more spacious, consider booking a home rental: A quick drive to downtown Miami, Little Havana, and buzzy shopping centers is your very own tiki house. This Airbnb boats a massive palapa with a lounging area, saltwater pool, hot tub, and outdoor bathroom with a shower (not to mention more than 40 palm trees). Plus, the hosts really thought of everything: The space is well-supplied with corn hole, a wireless speaker, three bicycles for guest use, and a bundle of wood to burn in the firepit. You’ll have access to both the main three-bedroom house and the two-room guest house. Another option is this conveniently located luxe home, recommended by Madison Flager, Traveler‘s associate commerce director. Flager stayed in the five-bedroom property, close to Brickell and the Design District, for a bachelorette party with group of nine guests. “We had plenty of room and everything we needed for cooking dinner on a night in,” says Flager. “It was also great to come home to our very own pool!”

A scenic condo in downtown Miami

Located on the 23rd floor of a high-rise building, this entire condo with a private balcony sleeps up to six guests (with a primary bedroom housing two full beds and a pull-out sofa in the living room). It’s located in Brickell and is walking distance to the local city center full of cool restaurants, bars, and clubs. A huge plus: This space offers resort-style amenities, with a rooftop swimming pool and a hot tub to indulge in at sunset (or sunrise—no one’s stopping you!). With a heated pool, firepit, mini golf, and outdoor kitchen, this gigantic home is superb for larger groups. Also located in Brickell, the spacious property sleeps up to 12 guests. (Of the four bedrooms, two offer two full beds and the other two each have one king bed—so you will have to double up if you’re a larger group.)

Where to play

When in Miami, especially for a bachelorette party, you must seek out a private boat rental. I’ve personally used (and loved) the easy-to-navigate charter service of GetMyBoat, where you can enjoy a day on the water, park at smaller islands to lay out and swim, all with the help of a captain to point out the best sights—say, the iconic architecture of Star Island, with homes owned by names you’ll recognize. When I was in Miami, I gave the GetMyBoat app a whirl and met with owner Francisco Areitio, known by many as Captain Frank. He charters many of his boats and yachts on the GetMyBoat website, so much so that he won the brand’s Best Captain of 2025 award (his second year in a row claiming the top spot). He finds that an increasing number of bachelorette parties are booking on the platform and taking the party on the water. While you should book as far in advance as possible (as prices go up the closer you book), you’ll all be splitting the cost, so you’ll find that a private charter is more affordable—and easier to reserve than you might’ve thought. (Even when last minute and especially with Captain Frank’s crew.)
